December 2020 and I have just completed Assignment Five.
The whole course Key Steps in Illustration has been a delight. This is not underestimating the challenges of the exercise, the learning process and the journey of discovery into IT skills and design. I am very grateful to have been sustained in having a focus in a difficult year.
There were two exercises I have not completed in the course – both being posters of a historic theme and I wonder that due to the intensity of needing to be present & careful in these days of a pandemic I may have not been in a space to look back in time too much.
Time has been an issue on occasions. The earlier exercises appeared to be less intense however it may have been that at that point I was not so aware of the requirements and research of the work and as I progressed and understood the expected standards so too my involvement in the work increased.
Also I revisited some of the exercises and attended on-line IT days so this took time away from the current studies occasionally.
Although I have completed Key Steps in Illustration , I shall read the course books I have been introduced to more thoroughly and practice IT photoshop and illustrator.
It is an incredible course . I have learned so much. Thank you to OCA.
